POEMS POEMS
Hold On
Hold on to Faith;
it is the source of believing that all things are possible.
It is the fiber and strength of a confident soul.

Hold on to Hope;
it banishes doubt and enables attitudes
to be positive and cheerful.

Hold on to Trust;
it is at the core of fruitful relationships
that are secure and content.

Hold on to Love;
it is life's greatest gift of all,
for it shares, cares, and gives meaning to life.

Hold on to Family and Friends;
they are the most important people in your life,
and they make the world a better place.
They are your roots and the beginnings
that you grew from;
they are the vine that has grown through time to nourish
you, help you on your way, and always remain close by.

Hold on to all that you are; and all that you have learned,
for these things are what make you unique.
Don't ignore what you feel,
and what you believe is right and important;
your heart has a way of speaking
louder than your mind.

Hold on to your dreams;
achieve them diligently and honestly.
Never take the easy way or surrender to deceit.
Remember others on your way
and take time to care for their needs.

Enjoy the beauty around you.
Have the courage to see things differently and clearly.
Make the world a better place one day at a time,
and don't let go of the important things
that give meaning to your life.

Wish for you

My wish for you as now we part

Is for greater peace to fill your heart,

With dreams as vast as starry space

So hurt and anger hold no place.

May truth be shared and wounds be healed

And joy for living be revealed.

Through every fate and circumstance

May hope lead weary steps to dance.

And may our life be as a song,

resounding with the dawn

to sing awake the light,

then softly serenade the stars

ever dancing circles in the night.

May fears be turned with keen insight

To wisdom for what’s just and right.

Where sorrow grows compassion strong

And pains will pass before too long.

And may the bounds of your diversity

Serve a richer harmony.

May courage hold your heart so true

To smile on love when it smiles on you.

And may your life be as a song

Resounding with the dawn

To sing awake the light,

Then softly serenade the stars

ever dancing circles in the night.

Autumn

The sun will greet Mother Nature in a very special way one morning and she

will know to call upon Jack Frost to begin his handy work. With the sun’s

special greeting, she knows that it is time for the season’s chapter to close

and that the forest must sleep to complete the annual cycle.As a new season approaches,

the deciduous trees wearing their multi-colored coats, razzle-dazzle us with a fire-like

dance in the autumn wind. Mother Nature orchestrates the rains and winds to prepare a

leaf-like quilt, which will blanket the forest floor. When the last leaf decides to

let go, the forest becomes a peaceful haven. The forest grows silent. It is time for

the forest to sleep to renew the annual cycle.
